Education: In 1977, graduated with honors from the Faculty of Philosophy at Kyiv State University named after T.H. Shevchenko. After completing postgraduate studies at the Institute of Philosophy of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in 1980, he was enrolled at the Institute of Philosophy of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian. In 1981, he defended his candidate dissertation, and in 1992, his doctoral dissertation. In 2006, he was awarded the academic title of professor. In 1988, he interned at the British Academy, delivered lectures at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Oxford University. Since its establishment in 2004, he has been the rector of the Higher School of Philosophy at the H.S. Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Research Interests: Philosophical anthropology, epistemology, philosophy of science.
Publications/Research Activities: Over 160 scientific works, including 3 individual monographs, 2 co-authored individual monographs, chapters in more than 30 collective monographs, and numerous articles in professional journals in Ukraine. Head of planned topics at the Department of Philosophical Anthropology: "The Problem of Man in Ukrainian Realities: Essential and Existential Dimensions" (2019), "Human Identity: Philosophical and Antropological Analysis" (2022), "Diversity of Knowledge and the World of Man in the Context of the Russian-Ukrainian War" (2025).
Teaching Experience: He has worked part-time at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the Center for Humanitarian Education of the NAS of Ukraine, and the Institute of Political Sciences. He delivers lectures to doctoral students at the H.S. Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy of the NAS of Ukraine and to students of the Higher School of Philosophy at the H.S. Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy of the NAS of Ukraine.
