Research profile: study of interfaith relations; history of scientific atheism in Soviet Ukraine; understanding the problem of the relationship between the religious and the national. In recent years, his research has focused mainly on four topics: religious aspects of social memory, the problem of the functioning of political religion, the history of scientific atheism in the USSR, and key theoretical and methodological issues in American religious studies. He is the editor-in-chief of the journal "Religious Studies Essays" and a member of the editorial board of the "De Religione" series of the journal "Practical Philosophy". In 2018-2019, he was the scientific secretary of the section of social and political sciences of the Committee of State Prizes of Ukraine in Science and Technology. Member of the Expert Council on Freedom of Conscience of the State Service for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience (2020-2022). He was an intern at the University of Alabama under the Fulbright Program (2021-2022) and with the support of the University of Alabama (2022-2023).
